1966 Montesa 250cc Texas Scorpion project enduro / Trail bike
I have done a walk round video of the bike on youtube here https://youtu.be/KBsKzLHZZL0
Quite a rare beast with only 2410 made
The texas scorpion was an enduro bike
This one does need work but it is pretty complete and would make a great project The major pieces I have identified that are missing are the right hand side engine cover, kick start and gear selector.
I have had it turning over & I borrowed a gear selector off another bike and have had it selecting gears
Other than being a bit weathered it's in pretty decent condition
Front forks are a little rusty but the front wheel with its' lovely shouldered #Akront rim is nice, the hub is in perfect condition
Front fender is decent and the headlight is in tact too!
That front #venteddrum is a thing of beauty!
There has obviously been a problem with the tank so someone has could a section out of it and started to weld it back together I think it's salvageable
Engine cases, head and barrel all look perfect It is the genuine exhaust - there is a tag attached to the exhaust which says King scorpion The king scorpion is a later model
Again the rear wheel and all hardware is present and looks in great restorable condition Engine and frame numbers are matching It still has the original rear speedo drive on it And that chain is a work of art - I love how someone has taken the time To build the chain from individual links Locking them together with split pins!
The odometer is showing just over 2 thousand seven hundred and 50 miles. Judging by the lack of wear and how original it all seems, I would think that's right!
There is no paperwork with the bike so you will need to register it yourself if you want it registere
any questions just give me a shout & I'll answer what i can.
bike kept in storage but can be made available to view if you want.
bike sold as seen & non refundable
