The all-new 36mm SC3 model SmartCarb replaces the stock 36mm Keihin PWK in 250cc and 300cc Beta Xtrainer dirt bikes, offering crisp, clean performance, excellent fuel efficiency, and incredible ease of use.

Betas using the factory oil injection system REQUIRE the MagVolt® Throttle Position Sensor. Beta Xtrainers with the oil injection system removed do not require MagVolt® TPS.

2023-2026 Beta Xtrainer bikes REQUIRE the 2022 Beta Xtrainer airboot for best fit/performance. Order it with your SC3 purchase or from your local Beta dealer/importer. See Fitment Information tab below for more information.

Every SmartCarb ships pre-adjusted specifically for your bike setup. Please provide information in the forms below about any engine/exhaust modifications, how you ride (riding style), and what fuel selection and oil premix ratio (if applicable) you use.

The SC3 SmartCarb replaces the stock Beta Xtrainer carburetor.

This isn’t your grandpa’s carburetor. The All-New SmartCarb SC3 brings carburetion firmly into the 21st century. It is a precision air/fuel metering instrument that provides better-than-EFI fuel atomization, precise mixture control, and automatic air density compensation in a single circuit, externally adjustable, jet-less fuel system.

Fitment Information

This SmartCarb accepts the stock throttle cable.

The MagVolt® TPS system is plug-and-play and clips into the same connector as the stock TPS. No adjustments or calibrations required. Short throw throttle cams or tamers are not recommended for TPS equipped bikes.

Beta oil injection requires TPS input to set the oiling rate from idle to full open throttle, injecting less oil at low throttle positions and more oil at higher throttle positions. It is a highly sensitive, learning system that may take time to recognize the new voltage sweep coming from the MagVolt® TPS. Unplugging the ECU from battery power may be required to reset its memory and prepare it to accept and map the new sweep.

Only oil injected Betas require the MagVolt® TPS option. Beta Xtrainers with the oil injection system removed (using premix) do not require MagVolt® TPS. The wire harness TPS connector can be left disconnected and secured up underneath the tank/frame. A check light may show on the display unit when TPS is disconnected. It can be ignored or disabled per Page 3 of Beta’s Oil Injection Delete Kit Instructions (de-pinning the pink wire with purple stripe). Your local Beta dealer can provide further information on disabling the check light.

The 2022 model year Xtrainer airboot IS REQUIRED for proper SmartCarb float bowl venting/function in 2023-2026 Xtrainers. Purchase it direct with your SmartCarb SC2 or source Beta part # 026.38.001.00.00 through your local dealer or regional Beta importer.

Though not required, we recommend also using the 2022-2026 model year Beta 300RR air filter cage (Beta part # 037.38.001.00.00) for best airflow/performance in 2022+ Beta Xtrainers.

Removal of the reed spacer is advised for best fitment in Xtrainers using larger than stock diameter rear shock springs. Shorter M6x25 Flange Bolts (4x 8mm) are included with your SmartCarb SC3 purchase.
