Similar to a top end rebuild a full engine rebuild is a preventative maintenance procedure and should be performed periodically.
However we regularly rebuild engines for people due to other issues like big eng bearing failures or gearbox problems etc.
A full engine rebuild is just that - replacement of all service parts in the engine & will restore your 2 stroke motor to being as good as new - or as we like to think "better than new"
We strip the whole motor and inspect everything.
As with all of our services we do not include the price of the parts as this veries between different bikes dramatically plus not every engine rebuild needs the same parts replacing, but as standard we perform the following:-
replacement of all bearings*
replacement of all seals
full gasket replacements
ultrasonic cleaning of all parts
piston, rings & little end bearing
clutch inspection
ignition inspection
inlet / reeds inspection
full inspection of the cylinder & arrange rebore or re coat - extra charge
identify any case or component repairs required - extra charge for repairs
* standard rebuild does not include rebuilding & trueing the crank - this is an extra service.
